This mission hospital is situated at Vadasery Nagercoil, which is 24 km away from Kanyakumari. It was started in 1895 when missionary Harry Andrews treated the first patient in a tiny bathroom. Since then it has grown into a 300 bed general hospital with departments of medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ENT, with well trained, dedicated medical, nursing and allied health staff.
School of nursing Edit
The school of nursing was added in 1938 and has since met the requirements of the Indian nursing council and Tamil Nadu nurses and midwives council. The programme is approved by the government of Tamil Nadu G.0.M.S.No 1254, health dated 15.4.1952. The nursing programme is conrolled by the board of nursing education NL., CMAI, SIB bangalore. It is staffed by experienced and dedicated personnel.
