Clement of Alexandria is one of the early Church Fathers. His Epistle was one of the first that was not included in the typical Cannon of Holy Scripture, probably due to the inclusion of a mythical bird, the Phoenix, given as an example of the resurrection.

Clement's Epistle is mostly a rebuke of those who have lost faith in the resurrection.
