The Anglican Diocese of North Queensland, Australia, extends from Sarina in central Queensland to the Torres Strait Islands in the north and Mount Isa in the west. The cathedral church of the diocese is the Cathedral of St James, Townsville. The current Bishop of North Queensland is the Right Reverend William Ray. The assistant bishops of the diocese are the Right Reverend James Leftwich (Bishop with Special Responsibility to the Aboriginal People) and the Right Reverend Saibo Mabo (Bishop with Special Responsibility to the Torres Strait Islander People).
