Earth is a planet. While Modern Geocentrists believe that the Earth is the center of the universe, most Christians believe that the Earth is the third planet from the Sun.

Some Christians interpret "earth" in the phrase "The heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1) to refer to the entire physical universe.

"Earth" can also refer to soil or dirt.
