Introduction
Edit
General Convention is the governing body of the Episcopal Church of the United States. Bi-cameral, it consists of a House of Deputies, consisting of clergy and lay persons, elected according to the canons of their dioceses, and a House of Bishops, consisting of all the active bishops within ECUSA.
General Convention meets every three years. The most recent General Convention was in 2003, in Minneapolis. The next General Convention will meet in 2006 in Columbus, Ohio.
