Twelve Days of Christmas

The Twelve Days of Christmas (also known as Christmastide) are the twelve days between Christmas and Epiphany.

This is also the title of a popular Christmas song. On the twelve days of Christmas, my true love gave to me (Western calendar):

• December 26: A partridge in a pair tree.
• December 27: Two turtle doves
• December 28: Three French hens
• December 29: Four calling birds
• December 30: Five golden rings
• December 31: Six geese a-laying
• January 1: Seven swans a-swimming
• January 2: Eight maids a-milking
• January 3: Nine ladies dancing
• January 4: Ten lords a-leaping
• January 5: Eleven pipers piping
• January 6: Twelve drummers drumming
